BIOGRAPHY

My career at UCLA began as a Principal CT Technologist in inpatient/outpatient. After six years of Clinical Radiology, I joined Dr. Daniel Valentino’s PACS (Picture Archive Communications Systems) Group. Working with Sandy Johnson, the Departments Clinical PACS Manager, I was responsible for UCLA’s Teleradiology Project between Harris Corp. Medical Clinic (Melbourne, FL) and UCLA Radiology. During the early days of Dr.Kangarloo’s Individually Tailored Medicine (ITM) and UCLA Telemedicine, there were seven faculty & staff members. I joined the ITM team when our offices were off-campus. As a Computer Resource Manager, I built a robust fiber-optic network and managed our lab’s former storage needs with DAS and NAS data architecture. Current job responsibilities include: Ensuring our lab’s day-to-day operations run smoothly and effectively. Main interface with the Office of the Building and Engineering. 24/7 uptime for our Network and peripherals. Implementation & maintenance of the lab’s computer systems.
