Wenyuan is currently a Ph.D student in Electrical and Computer Engineering , University of California, Los Angeles. He is advised by Prof. Corey Arnold and co-advised by Prof. Greg Pottie. His research interests lie in the real-life application of machine learning, especially for healthcare.

Prior to joining MII, he worked in Device Research Laboratory (DRL) and was advised by Prof. Kang L. Wang (ECE, UCLA). There, he studied neuromorphic chips — an electronic version of the human brain, aiming for accelerating computing speeds while maintaining a low-energy cost.
