- UCLA Electrical and Computer Engineering
Wenyuan Li is currently a PhD student in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE), working in the Medical Image Informatics (MII) group. He is advised by Prof. Corey Arnold (Bioinformatics, UCLA) and co-advised by Prof. Greg Pottie (ECE, UCLA). His current research topic focuses on image segmentation algorithms for medical images. He is also interested in other machine learning models in real-life applications, such as medical diagnosis, recommendation systems, etc.
Prior to joining MII, he worked in Device Research Laboratory (DRL) and was advised by Prof. Kang L. Wang (ECE, UCLA). There, he studied neuromorphic chips — an electronic version of the human brain, aiming for accelerating computing speeds while maintaining a low-energy cost.
